AcneFree "Terminator 10" Acne Spot Treatment Review

Let's be honest, when it comes to skin care products it just seems like a giant pool of lies with a few promising stars that actually turn out to be real! This is one of those stars! I have been using the AcneFree "Terminator 10" Treatment ($7) for about 2 weeks now and I would hate to sound like a proactive guinea pig cliche, but this product seriously changed my life. 

First things first, you should be advised that if you have sensitive skin you have to steer clear of this product! I'm not kidding, don't take this as some light hearted joke! This is a seriously harsh acne treatment with some powerful medical ingredients in it! I don't have extremely sensitive skin and yet my face still turned into a glowing itchy patchy dry tomato within my first 4 days of usage! Which brings me to the point that you may wanna start using this when you don't have to go out. 

I probably made this product sound kinda bad didn't I huh? 

Let me start out by saying this product is amazing! My acne is virtually gone in a matter of a few uses! Of course I still have acne scars but I have no active acne except for maybe two tinnie tiny ones! 

The powerful medical ingredient in this is 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide is known to be really harsh and cause many side effects within its first uses, so don't freak out if you have an "allergic reaction" because chances are you don't have an allergic reaction, in fact you had a very common and normal skin reaction, and within time your skin will adjust to the product. None the less you want to use this is moderation, AcneFree also makes a 5% version and there are also 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide products on the market as well. 

What it claims: Prescription-strength medicated spot treatment quickly reduces the size and redness of pimples and blackheads.

This comes in a cream form and the moment you apply this stuff on your skin you can feel a burning sensation that make you think "hey, I think its working!" When I woke up the next day I was a glowing tomato! I was horrified! My skin was itchy and outrageously dry! But "holy crap!" I thought, my mountain sized pimple was now merely a small little hill in a school playground! I couldn't stop using this stuff! Thank god I didn't! After 2 additional full blown reactions my next 2 uses had decreasing redness and harsh effects! My skin was getting use to it! I use it daily on all of my problem areas twice a day; mourning and night before my moisturizer! 

I now have virtually no bumps on my face but with a bit of dryness. This does still dry out my skin around the edges of my noise but I don't think that's going to change, therefore I recommend you get a really good moisturizer that'll nourish your skin well! 

As far as its claims to get rid of blackheads, unfortunately I found that these claims were not true. All my blackheads are still mounted in there, not going anywhere. :( I guess I'm just going to have to find another solution to blackheads!
